Halftone Productions is a new Los Angeles-based audio production company that needed a brand and online presence to faithfully reflect the type of music they devote their lives to making.

A duo of two like-minded audio professionals, Halftone has a very clear music-based image. They are about old school analog sounds and production techniques, steeped in a rich rock tradition that includes engineering/producing legends such as Daniel Lanois, Ethan Johns, and Mitchell Froom.

In an age of digital waveforms, LED screens, and GUIs, few things definitively say old school analog like the VU meter. Complete with screws and a stylized version that's bathed in realism and weathered texture, all dressing up an authoritative typographic treatment of the name that means business, the logo gives Halftone a true visual extension of their sonic brand.

Elative also designed and developed a dynamic website that not only continues to reinforce the brand design with a classic, typographic design that harkens back to old newspaper layouts, but also allows Halftone to easily update their network on their latest productions and happenings.
